Community Christmas Tree Lighting

The Tree Lighting is a gift to the community. Crowds will enjoy a musical program and participate in the countdown to light theCommunity Christmas Tree Lighting.  Downtown City Plaza, Friday, December 5th beginning at 5pm tree.

Event program includes: Performances by Children's Choir of Chico and Sounds of the Valley Chorus, a presentation by the Mayor, and a visit with Santa Claus!

Standing at more than 60’ tall, the Blue Atlas Cedar has been decorated by M&S Wesley Tree Service with more than 8,000 colorful LED lights.

Produced by the Downtown Chico Business Association (DCBA) and funded in part by the City of Chico, the Tree Lighting is a gift to the community. Crowds will enjoy a musical program and participate in the countdown to light the tree.

Standing at more than 55’ tall, the Blue Atlas Cedar is decorated by the City of Chico Tree Crew each year with more than 8,000 colorful LED lights.

Event Program includes:

Pre show entertainment, performances by some of Chico's finest choral groups, words from the Mayor, visit with Santa Claus!

Downtown Chico will be Open 'til 8pm on Fridays during the holiday shopping season!Downtown retailers are open late this holiday season, with most stores open until 8pm on Fridays through December 23rd.
