Craft cocktails, live music, and a year-round patio

Argus Bar and Patio is a craft cocktail establishment with a great draft list. We host around 100 live music events of all different genres each year. Our patio is available to rent year-round through our website, argusvenue.com.

For the first time in 12 years, we are offering bar bites starting December of 2025!

About the Owner

Scott Baldwin, the owner, responded by saying:
"I've been in Chico my whole life. By trade, I'm an engineer, but grew up in the service industry and kitchens. Now, entering our 13th year, Argus feels like my second home. I still tend the bar 3-4 times per week and soon will be the cook as we launch our food program!"

What do you love about being in Downtown Chico?

Scott responded by saying:
"My favorite part of downtown is the ability to visit multiple quality establishments in an evening by foot."
