Downtown Chico's merchants invite the community for a fun-filled day of summertime tradition with sidewalk sales, sweet treats and FREE slices of ice-cold watermelon on 3rd Street between Broadway and Main. Slice of Chico is a charming community event where you'll enjoy discovering unique finds and strolling the streets of Downtown Chico.

Second Saturday in July, starting at 9:00 a.m.

The finest local and regional restaurants, breweries, wineries and beverage distributors treat event participants to fabulous fare while they stroll downtown streets brimming with entertainment, arts and culture. Four stages host continuous live music, while the "Open Air Art Gallery" proudly showcases the work of dozens of local fine artists. Downtown Chico officially kicks off the season in a tradition of holiday hospitality! Merchants debut their holiday cheer by inviting the community to delight in an evening filled with the sights, sounds and anticipation of the holidays. Stores don beautiful decorations, provide entertainment and offer delicious refreshments. Strolling carolers add a special charm to the downtown streets. Santa is there too, ready for photos!
