About the Owner

Amy Waltz was born and raised in Chico, California. She is a true Chicoan, born at Enloe Hospital. She absolutely loves this community and feels it is a sincere honor to have a thriving business here. She started Amy Waltz Designs at her kitchen table while homeschooling her two boys. She wanted a way to be creative, do something for herself, and contribute financially to her family. She also has a deep-seated desire to send as much goodness, beauty, and light into the world as she can, and it just so happened that jewelry became her vehicle for doing so.

To this day, her goals remain the same. She is here to lift up humanity. Her boys are out of the house now, and she is incredibly thankful she started Amy Waltz Designs. She loves offering creative jobs to the Chico community. Her team members are not just employees, they are family, and she is deeply grateful for each and every one of them.

What do you love about being in Downtown Chico?

"I waited four years to be in the heart of downtown Chico. I looked and looked, but nothing felt right until I learned that the Magna Carta building was going to be available. I knew I had to be there. To know that I am following in the legacy of the beautiful women who ran Zucchini and Vine and Magna Carta is an incredible honor. I love our sweet downtown. Being right next to Chico State is such a bonus. I love the people, I love the weather, and I pinch myself every day knowing we get to be part of the heart of this beautiful downtown community."

What is your favorite Downtown Chico event?

"I absolutely love Christmas preview! Chico comes alive during this event and I love all of the twinkling lights and the warmth of the season."
