About the Owner

The owner responded by saying:
"Hi, I'm Chris Durkin, owner of Main Street Pizza.

I took over Main Street Pizza in November 2025 with one clear goal:
protect what people already loved, and rebuild the rest the right way.

This shop has been part of downtown Chico for a long time. Late nights, big slices, familiar faces. I didn't come in to reinvent it overnight, I came in to stabilize it, upgrade the systems behind the scenes, and slowly raise the bar on quality, consistency, and service.

I've spent over 20 years working in restaurants, from the floor to the kitchen to management. I'm hands-on by nature, you'll see me making dough, running the oven, fixing equipment, and talking with customers. If something's broken, I'd rather learn how to fix it than ignore it.

Since taking over, we've:

• Modernized and introduced online ordering
• Added Detroit-style pizzas and lunch options
• Extended hours and launched delivery
• Focused on better ingredients and cleaner execution

Main Street Pizza is still the place for a late-night slice, but it's also becoming a place you can count on any day of the week.

What do you love about being in Downtown Chico?

"Owning a store downtown, right in the heart of the city, is something a lot of people dream about. I love being close to the energy, events, foot traffic, and the people who make Chico what it is. Being downtown means being part of the community, not just operating a business, and that's something I don't take lightly."

What is your favorite Downtown Chico event?

"Farmers Market"
