About the Owner

Angela, the owner, responded by saying:
"I am the third owner of cottonparty (purchased the store at the beginning of 2020 after working for the previous owner since 2014). I am proud to continue cottonparty's legacy of offering unique, high-quality garments with personal customer service. My favorite part of owning cottonparty is the relationships I build with my customers. I love helping them find the perfect items for those special or difficult moments in their lives."

What do you love about being in Downtown Chico?

"You can really feel the vibrancy of the college and all the small businesses that make up the fabric of our community. I love how dynamic it is to be in a space that isn't full of big-box retail or chain restaurants. To me, downtown is the hub of our community. I love all the historic buildings. The Waterford-Breslauer building (where cottonparty is located) was built in 1911 and is the first building in Chico to have concrete easements in the basement, which allowed it to be the tallest building in Chico for a long time. You don't get that history at a shopping mall."
