About the Owner

Leann Powell, the owner, responded by saying:
"Born in Oregon and grew up traveling the coastline. I always loved all those fun, quirky shops and decided to open my own right here in the heart of downtown Chico. I'm always treasure hunting and trying to find unique, one-of-a-kind clothing and gifts for my customers.

I moved to Chico in '90, met and married a local, and have planted my roots ever since. We raised three children of our own and feel fortunate to have strong family ties in the area. (Our daughters live here in Chico and are successful business owners, and our son lives in Sacramento and is a licensed engineer.)

My husband owns two businesses and works A LOT. He has a janitorial company with several employees and started a granite company... it's A LOT.

However, we are truly blessed and are lucky to be able to live in Chico."

What do you love about being in Downtown Chico?

"I love the fact that just about anything you want or need can actually be found downtown, Chico. From gifts, jewelry, clothing, antiques, bicycles, plants, candy, live music and entertainment, and even climbing gear... breakfast, lunch, or dinner - downtown Chico really has it all!"
