Celebrating 70 years of art, creativity, and community
The Chico Art Center is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year as an organization that supports artists and the arts in the Chico community and the North State. We offer twelve gallery shows a year, as well as special events such as the annual Open Studios Art Tour, Puzzle Show, and collaborations with other arts organizations.
About the Organization
The Chico Art Center is run by an all-volunteer board of directors, with only two part-time paid employees - a Business Manager and a Gallery Director. We also have volunteer docents and members who contribute their time throughout the year.
What do you love about being in Downtown Chico?
Daniel Donnelly, Manager, responded by saying:
"The Chico Art Center loves being able to partner with other organizations, such as the DCBA and the Stansbury Home, to offer art-related events that showcase the creative spirit of our members and the local community. We love seeing artists' works being shown in downtown windows, murals, and other art projects such as the new student-created COBA boards."
