Overview

Now celebrating its 51st year, Slice of Chico brings the community together with complimentary ice-cold watermelon slices and a showcase of Chico's diverse local shops and restaurants. This summertime tradition transforms Downtown Chico into a lively marketplace filled with food, shopping, entertainment, and fun for all ages.

The watermelon slicing stations will open at 10:00 AM, with the main station hosted by the Downtown Chico Business Association (DCBA) on W. 3rd Street between Broadway and Main Street.

Visitors can enjoy sidewalks filled with vibrant activity, featuring special sales from boutiques, unique finds from local artisans, and delicious offerings from Chico's many restaurants.

Street closures in the downtown area will begin at 9:00 AM and reopen at 6:00 PM. This includes W. 3rd Street between Broadway and Main Street.
