Known for its seafood-forward menu, The Grill highlights fresh, thoughtfully prepared dishes alongside seasonal accompaniments and expertly crafted cocktails. Local guests often return for favorites like the clam chowder, widely considered among the best in Chico.

Ownership & Legacy

The Hotel Diamond in Downtown Chico is a historic landmark that has served as a central part of the community since its establishment in 1904. Known as "The Jewel of Downtown," its legacy reflects a transformation from a turn-of-the-century luxury hotel to a modern boutique destination.

The property was purchased in 2001 by Wayne Cook, who thoughtfully restored and reopened it in 2005. Following his passing in 2022, Hotel Diamond continues under the leadership of his wife, Carol Cook, and daughter, Alisa Cook-Scott, carrying forward a longstanding commitment to preserving the hotel's history while providing an exceptional guest experience.
