Ballet Chico is a growing, community-centered dance organization in the Chico and Paradise, California region that blends classical ballet tradition with modern, family-friendly creativity. It's both a training studio and a performance-driven arts company focused on developing dancers of all ages, from tiny beginners to adult enthusiasts, in an inspiring and inclusive environment.

About the Owner

Melanie Useldinger brings a lifetime of ballet training and love of the arts to downtown Chico after dancing professionally, training elite-level ballerinas, and choreographing and producing full-length ballets through her ballet schools and companies! She also loves building community and impacting lives for the better with the skills she is gifted with!

"The people of Chico come out for Chico community events!! The sense of community in this town is both fun and inspiring! We are excited to be part of it! It's fun to have a beautiful, light-filled dance space right downtown! Training up dancers for great purposes!"
