Chico Hillel Center

Our History

Our organization has over a 30 year history as a social club that encourages the cultural welfare of Jewish students and residents of Butte County, California, with its main emphasis being the students of California State University, Chico. We welcome all Butte College students and look forward to hosting events at the college campus sites.

Chico Hillel's mission is to cultivate students' personal and professional growth, wellness, and Jewish identity, through authentic social and cultural experiences. We aim to enrich the lives of all members while providing a safe and welcoming space as a home away from home for Jewish students.

Come visit if you are in Chico! We are located on the back patio of Celestino's, the best pizza slice in Chico! Our weekly meetings are on Thursday from 6:30-7:30 pm. Hope to see you all there!
