Fresh Italian cuisine served with old world hospitality
Established in 1984 in a small white house on Walnut Street, Sicilian Café has been a North State favorite for 41 years. We feature recipes passed down through generations, utilizing fresh local produce, delicious pastas, chicken, beef, and seafood dishes served with fine wines and craft cocktails. Happy Hour and à la carte dishes are available in our bar, or you can dine with a three-course dinner in our elegant dining room. You'll enjoy fresh Italian cuisine served with old world hospitality.
About the Owners
James Taylor and his mother Cathy opened Sicilian Café back in 1984. Forty-one years later, James and his wife Misti, along with head chef Sam Watroba, are still hands-on owners who are at the restaurant every day.
"Our favorite part of what we do is the amazing people we get to see every day. We have customers that have been dining with us since we first opened in 1984 and now bring their children and grandchildren in for family celebrations. We love that we have new guests every day too. We consider our guests to be friends and family, and it makes what we do special."
What do you love about being in Downtown Chico?
"We love Downtown Chico and the wonderful sense of community it brings. The mix of young college students, young families, and new and old residents of Chico bring vitality to downtown. Chico has grown so much over the years, but when you come downtown you always see someone you know, old friends and new friends. That is what makes Downtown so special."
